Annie Saez is a writer with a love for animals and country music.

How did she get here?

An arthritis diagnosis as a young adult during a Central America adventure threatened to derail her plans. Facing this invisible enemy, Annie embarked on a quest to understand the cause of her condition, which fueled her desire to bridge the gap between physical and mental health.

With a background in Marketing and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University,

Annie crafts narratives that shed light on the realities of living with chronic illness. In her soon to be published memoir The day the waves went silent, you'll find vulnerability, understanding, and support.

FUN FACTS

1. I love cats.

I love animals in general, but there is something about cats that I love. I identify myself with them and their personality.

Because of my love for cats, some friends call me ‘meow’.

2. I like walking.

Walking helps me relief stress and enjoy nature.

I have no problem going on a walk alone or with someone. But, it’s always more fun being with a friend or relative.

The why behind it all:

Many people don’t know their emotional afflictions can take a toll on their physical wellbeing. Others, feel alienated since it’s difficult to find people who understand what having an illness means.

There’s a link between chronic disease and mental health, and that’s a big issue.
